As you may know, Fred Hampton has taken the helm at the Carrera RS Register.

In many respects this is the possibly the most important of all the registers, yet the records have become rather neglected in recent years.

Fred is anxious to bring the Register fully up to date and wishes to hear from all RS owners (worldwide) with confirmation of their current ownership details:
- Model
- Chassis No.
- Engine No.
- Colour
- Current Reg No.
- Owner
- Address
- email

Think that will suffice.

If you have info on any other cars, even if you aren't an RS owner, do please feel free to send it to Fred, or pass this on to the current owner. Obviously, this is all treated in strict confidence.

On a separate note Fred is hoping to gather 40 or more RSs at Castle Hedingham on 2 Sept. This should be the biggest UK gathering of all time but will require considerable support.
Obviously there will be the regular attendees, plus some RSs from Europe, but it will also require some of those RSs that are rarely seen. Hope everyone can get behind this effort.

thanks

Hello Mike, There is a 2.7 RS for sale in this months Porsche Post owned by Ivan Dutton. We saw it at the Club visit earlier in the year as he is not a Club member perhaps the RS might want to speak to him about it being shown at Castle Hedingham.
Incidentally will there be any 2.7 RS's celebrating their 40th anniversary at Silverstone Classic this week ?

Thanks Robin.

Fred has for long been disappointed that we don't get better attendance by the RSs at prestige displays such as Classics at the Castle.

The last Register records, compiled by the late David Gilhooley, suggests that there are over 100 RSs in the UK.

The plan is to get at least 40 original RSs to celebrate the 40th Anniversary at Hedingham.

Now, there are the usual reliable attendees, plus enthusiastic overseas visitors, but we really need to get support from some of the RSs that are too rarely seen. It's no hardship - a lovely jaunt to park in a stunning setting alongside a fabulous display of other wonderful pre-73 Porsches.
