Impromptu availability for a drive?
- Thread starter tscaptain
- Start date
Yeh, I don't understand these people that have every day planned for the next 6 months+ My life is just not that ordered! Scheduled club events are great and all but most of them lack a fun drive (Gary's fantastic events are obviously the exception) - and driving pleasure is 100% the reason why I own a Porsche.
I often find myself with a random unscheduled quiet work day or open weekend plans and think to myself 'wouldn't it be great to meet up with some other club members and go for an impromptu drive'. Sometimes the weather doesn't play ball but when the sun does come out then it's just rude not to.
So I thought I'd start a thread where people can post a close date when they are free (eg. within the next 4 weeks or this afternoon) and see if any other members in the same area are free too.
For example:
Who : Where : When
Alex L : Reading area : free anytime this weekend (9th/10th Oct)
This probably would work best on the region boards but they tend to have their own followings. Let's see how we get on, I may be the only member with impromptu free time in which case this will be a quiet thread...

Congratulations Clive... Have you been away yet?? I'm sure that your life will be busier now than its ever been!!! - according to the boss....[] I'd love to get out for a drive but sadly I'm having to work to be able to pay for my playtime [8D] I was looking at something myself for the 17th but going up't north out to play.. I will do it one day as a proper 'drivers' event [] but may test the ground depending on the weather... It's always pleased to see members making the most of each others company, so hope some do find the time to get out as this weekend is supposed to be really nice! garywORIGINAL: Lancerlot Officially retired this week, guys, so up for some jollity whenever.
