Impromptu / Informal Drives out at short notice

Fancy getting your Porsche out for a bit of a fun drive when the weather is fairly nice?

Especially at this time of year it’s just not possible to plan more than a few days ahead at most.

So I thought we’d see if we could put together a list of people who’d be interested in going out at fairly short notice for a bit of a fun drive.

I’m thinking of very informal drives for a small number of cars, maybe around a couple of hours long, and apart from a meeting point and a Google Maps Custom route, otherwise unplanned.

I’m on the north edge of Leeds so routes I plan are likely to start somewhere around Otley to Wetherby.

Whether you can do mid week days or can only do weekends - (for various reasons these drives are much more likely to during the week)

Whether you have a preference for particular days?

Are you familiar with using / following a Google maps route?

Whether you have a Mitex Walkie-Talkie of your own ( we do have some to loan out if you don’t)

In what part of our region are you based?

What Porsche do you drive, colour and registration please; saves me asking for this later.

[h3]UPDATE[/h3]We've now had three of these impromptu drives, two with six cars which worked really well, one with just three, which was still good.
All of them were great fun, on some great roads and excellent company. The walkie takies really help, you can chat to each other as you go along (yes, this is legal), and the Google Maps routes have worked well, but it is very helpful to have some familiarity with using them, and you really do need a phone holder (unless you have Car Play).

Hopefully we shall have lots more, so watch out for an email for the next one. If you've not joined the list, details to join are on the first post in this thread.

However I'm sorry to say, these drives are more likely to be weekday drives at the moment.
