Impromtu drive?

I often find myself with a random unscheduled quiet work day or open weekend plans and think to myself 'wouldn't it be great to meet up with some other club members and go for an impromptu drive'. Sometimes the weather doesn't play ball but when the sun does come out then it's just rude not to.

So I thought I'd start a thread where people can post a time when they are free (eg. ranging from a few hours time to a few weeks) and see if any other members in the same area are free too.

For example:

Who : Where : When
Alex L : Reading area : free anytime today (17th Oct)

It worked well the other week when I tried the same idea on the 997 forum and I think it would work even better for us club members in the same region.

Hi Alex - just spotted your post. It's a bit late now but I could have been up for it if I had known earlier! Another time?

I don't think we have met before but maybe you would like to come to a region meet some time? I think we will be tying the November meet in with an early morning run down to Goodwood for the German Marques breakfast club - hopefully see you then?

Cheers, Craig

Hi Craig

Shame I didn't post earlier - I rather let the lovely weather today pass me by [&:]

Unsure about Nov, but my work is pretty quiet this coming week, so if you have a couple spare hours then we could go for a spin?

Hi Alex - that would be great. Thursday looks best for me at present. Whereabouts in Reading are you - I'm in Caversham?

Pangbourne area. Thu should be ok. Morning or afternoon? What about meeting at the Shell garage on Oxford Rd?

How about late morning, say 11am? Could I suggest the carpark outside Halfords - a bit more space up there!
