Improved 0-60 times

James our intrepid 928 pilot has taken advice and finally cleaned his engine compartment. Despite the trauma of removing the patina (filth) from the engine room he has reported an improved 0-60 time by 0.165 seconds and acknowledged a useful gain in fuel consumption. This all being possible due to the removal of so much weight.
Well done James,

Regards,
Kirk
PS he was also seen cleaning his windscreen today but when tackled about this said he was just "waving at someone". Yeah right!

Very true the improvement in the dry speed suprised me but in the wet not so good.
I cannot now get to 60 incase anything splashes up and I have to stop after every puddle to wipe the car down.
The greatest weight saving was when I got out but that is another story.

Ps I was "waving" to you. [8|]

Excellent James! Very amusing.
Please make sure you refer to Neal for wet weather forcasts prior to venturing out. My covered car transporter and driver is, as always, at your service. Please note that personal weight saving can be achieved by removing the patina from your under wear.

Regards,

Kirk

Great the transporter and driver will really improve my top end speed in the wet.
Regarding the patina in my under wear that took years and will not be so easy to remove [X(]

James,

Would recommend Gunk and a high pressure washer but remember to take the underpants off first.

Kirk

Or of course you might want to consider Jizer [;)]. It doesn't work as well as Gunk but it is brilliant if you like the subtle perfume of kerosene. Well, you can't have everything can you?

I Thank you Kirk for your recommendation of GUNK, but having this in my under pants enhanced the patina.
Unfortunately I cannot comment about Jizer in this context on this forum.
I will be looking into other alternatives and am open for any inspections of the results.
I might try 120 grit sandpaper to take the edges off first.
