In-car Ipod

Has anyone found a decent place to mount an ipod in a 964 yet? At the minute, mine is mounted a mobile phone holder which clips onto the central upper air vents. Sounds great, looks terrible.

Well judging by the lack of replies, you must all be too busy listening to the sound of the engine to be worrying about music. To be honest, the 964 is so loud that any stereo system is going to have to fight hard to compete. For the record, I've just bought a device called an 'i-trip'; it plugs into the bottom of your ipod and transmits a signal to your standard car stereo. You simply tune in your radio to the required frequency and, bingo, you've got access to all your ipod can offer. Cracking piece of kit. My ipod now lives in the well under the handbrake until I find somewhere better.

HI Sbloxxy

I use the itrip as well but find it can sometimes wine (sp) in the radio so you almost hear the hard disc spinning. Its also not so loud so it can get drowned out at higher speed.

When using it the ipod either is on the passenger seat of on mine to keep it safe.

I'm thinking of changing hte head unit over to iPod ready Alpine and then I'll run the cable into the glove box as you can change tracks on the unit
