.... its got the one thing missing from the GT2... an awesome exhaust note... enjoy.
Not to mention the quickest paddle shift in the business and mucho, mucho street cred.
I did get to drive it briefly yesterday before handing it back to the anxious owner. It does feel significantly quicker than the previous F430 F1 and with much sharper handling. This is due to its increased power and lighter chassis. It's noisy though - very noisy and apparently has been black flagged at many UK tracks this year. Ferrari appear to have slipped up big time with this seeing as it's supposed to double as both a road and trackday car! []
Is it better that the GT2? Well, it's difficult to be objective. They come from different directions to achieve similar results. The transmisson appears to be the biggest step forward, but a stable with both in would be ideal!!! [8D]
Colin's a very lucky lad!
Regards,
Clive

Perhaps the tuning boys will start retrofitting standard 430 exhausts!
Tasty looking motor though, Clive...

Never mind the car I can't take my eyes of that new avatar, even though it is CG. Reminds me of a similar one I saw illustrating an application of SHM formulae.
Allan,
Just a little eye-watering, pre-chrissie present! [:-] [&:]
Dyllan,
Thanks for the compliment. RU sure though? [8|]
Peter,
Ferrari UK have 6 demo Scuds that are very quiet. Everybody's being a bit tight-lipped about the system they use. (It's definitely not standard 430.) The best I can glean is that there is an experimental system developed in Marinello but not yet available to UK customers 'cos it's not type approved??? It's a bleeding mystery. []
Regards,
Clive
