£100 to make my 968 (1995 Sport, stock except for DAB radio!) a bit more driveable sounds very interesting since it's my only car and I use it everyday including for work.
Could I waste a bit of your time and ask you to explain what the chip does exactly and what's involved in fitting one? Is it a DIY job?I have reasonable understanding of these things but have never fitted a significant non-standard part to any car I've owned.
Many thanks

The £100 Promax chip a lot of us use, works in various ways, firstly it is optimised for s'unleaded, smoother fuelling particularly around 3000 to 5000 rpm, also raises the rev limiter to 7100 or 7700rpm depending which one you fit.
Fitting is easy, the chip hides in the ECU box under the ply panel in the passenger footwell. Take old one out, put Promax one in. Never done one myself before and managed it in about 1 hr.
Probably the best bang per buck for a 968, visit: http://www.promaxmotorsport.com/
