Independent in North West

Can anyone recommended a good independant in the NW of England.

2.5 engine rebuild required (not for me I might add)

Hi, cant really help with the independant, but you may get a pleasant shock for a new engine direct from Porsche, someone told me a story of a guy that had a complete motor fitted in a 911 - 996, and i think the price for the motor was something like 6k fully bubble wrapped with starter alternator etc, with the labour cost of rebuildng an engine a new replacement he told me was cheaper.

If it were me I would sorce a good used 3.4 996 motor and have the ultimate handling porsche, I have seen this conversion in the porsche world magazine and they gave it a good review, one of my dreams was to fit a GT3 lump, but i had an S at the time and it seemed a bit foolish to attack a new car ........ and I bought a 996 so that was that.
 
John at Unit 11 in Warrington is very good I had a engine rebuild there recently. Good price and excellent service

Hi John
Try Chris Sanderson at Loe Bank Motors or Phil Hindley at Tech 9 in Lverpool. Both have good reputations.
