I got my first 911 a few months back - a 1978 SC, loving it [:)] - and I'm looking for a local-ish garage for general servicing, and for bodywork (some rust on inner wings and driver-side door jam). Any recommendations? I live and work in Cambridge.
cheers

Hi matt, A. J. COBB vehicle refinishers at hilton are very good with porsche's. The address is,New farm garage, potton road Hilton,Cambs. Tel; 01480 831693

Did you know about "Barr-Tech".

My friend has used them for his 928.

They are at Cowley Road.

Where I had my 3.2 serviced the guy has sold the business, he knew his Porsches.

Thanks guys. I do know Barr-Tech - they are fitting some new front brake calipers for me tomorrow, have used them once before. Always good to have an alternative though - Hilton is pretty close so will have a blast up there soon.
Will try to get to a club night in the near future too.
cheers
Matt

They seem OK, know about 911s, they had a 3.2 up on the ramp the first time I went there and they took time to show me over what they were doing. Too early for me to say more yet cos I've only been there twice, and work has been pretty straightforward. Rate is £50+vat/hour.
