Independent Specialist in SE Essex

Hi,
Been with the club for around a year now.After some looking finally before Christmas I found myself a 996 C2 (right colour spec etc). I now need to track down a good Independent for the next service. Checking the club mag /forums/ the net etc I have the names of HP Motorsport in Ilford and Mercury Sports and Classic in Hutton. Greg kindly recommended Autostrasse in Coggeshall. As I live in Hockley the guys in Hutton would be closest.Would anyone have used these guys or would you be able recommend any others.

He is a club member and past national concours winner, has looked after mine and a lot of others Porsches for more than 15 years and excellant all round knowlege, including motorsport.
Has a web site and advertises in the club mag.
I would not use anyone else, good technical knowledge, has the latest diagnostics and knows his stuff.[:D]

Hi Steve,

I would reccomend German Engineering Services in Leigh on Sea. They have looked after my car for the last 5 years. Previous 3 years was at Autostrasse but the journey was very inconvenient for me from Southend. Servicing and labour cost are very reasonable. Mine is aircooled so will cost more but for as an example my mate took his 2002 Boxter there last week and for an interim service, MOT and to fit new front pads and disc (these were supplied my my mate), the total cost was £220.
Give them a bell on 01702476856, mention you are with the club and Graham recommended them to you. I have no affiliation with them and there is no discount it in for me but they like to know were recommendations have come from.

Thanks for the info. Leigh on Sea is ideal for me. They seem fair on the price they charged for your mate's Boxter. I will give them a call and say you recommended them and I am a club member.
