Independent Specialists - London based owners

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone is London based (such as I) and can recommend an indy based on service,944 knowledge, price etc. There are a few about (Charles Ivey, Porsheworx, RGA etc) and just wanted some feedback on the options.

As always - guidance is much appreciated.

Andrew, I would def recommend Patrick at Porschembri in Hounslow, worth the extra travel as he knows what he's doing, and is actually quite cheap for london, did my clutch for £800 odd.

Agreed Porschworx should be avoided unless you have money to throw away.

BUT don't expect him to have work done on time, or even on the day you say you need the car for. He can't spell the word "Rush", let alone "Punctual". And to expect him to grasp these concepts is far too much to ask! (If you watch him work you will understand why).

Having said that, he is very friendly and helpful, always happy to chat and offer advice, and his workmanship is good. Tell him Oli with the blue S2 sent you.

If you're West London it might be worth looking at Northway...they're just west of Reading and 5 mins walk from Aldermaston station. People there (including Ray Northway) who were Porsche trained on 944s...have looked after my car for years.
