T11NER,
My main beam developed a life of it's own recently and would flash the headlamps on or off every time I went over a bump in the road.
A few irrate drivers giving me the one fingered salute drew my attention to it and a quick drive around the block behind my partners car soon showed that the switch wasn't working properly.
So, I took off the steering wheel (mark the steering shaft and collar within the wheel so you can get it back on centrered later), then removed the plastic shell surrounding the switchgear (1 screw each side at 9 and 3 o'clock). I think I removed the 4 screws facing the driver once the steering wheel was removed but not sure whether that gave any more access. Disconnected the battery so I didn't blow anything, before using a flat bladed screw driver from the side to very carefully bend the brass strips at their bases within the switchgear until they were connecting or disconnecting as required. You can work it out by reconnecting the battery at intervals. Do it carefully so nothing snaps or gets too bent - they just need a tiny bit of persuasion.
Once it works put the wheel back on and make sure it's nice and tight.
Best of luck,
Rich
