Hi, I have a 996 turbo s and when I switched the ignition on to start it today a warning came on saying gear not selected properly , but the car was still in park . Turned the key and car started fine but I noticed the indicators aren't working also the hazards don't work either. Has anybody got any ideas of what could be wrong ? Cheers Tony.

My money would be on the ignition switch. When they start to fail they cause all sorts of wierd electrical problems. Not expensive to replace, and there is a DIY in the Technical Articles section.
