Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good Indipendent service company in the Berkshire area? I have an '03 2.7 Boxster Tiptronic, when I come to servicing I don't really want to be paying Porsche franchise prices for servicing.

Many thanks

Pete

Ray Northway - rather near to Porsche Centre Reading

Further afield there are places like GT-One in Chertsey, or JZ Machtech in Kings Langley

Another vote for Northways 01189 714333, just of the A4 near Aldermaston train station.

servicing for 12k/24k/48k service are £155/£265/£365 plus the vat.

Feel free to use my name they all know me.

Thanks for all the responses, although it seems my service is due earlier than I thought, because I just got an email from Porsche reading to say it is due in April. As it is still under their warranty I'll have to get it done there.

As I have only done 6,000 miles since I got it, I assume I can get a 'yearly check' instead of a full service. Does anyone know how much that would cost? Also I assume they change the oil during the yearly check. Would it be cheaper for me to supply the oil? If so what oil should I get?

Many thanks

Thanks.... but i'm slightly confused now, because it says annual check is in conjuction with a service!!!! I thought it was instead of a service if you haven't done many miles

If you've done less than 9000 miles, since the last service, you only need an annual check. It means you can't replace a major service with an annual check.

I have no idea why the replace drive belt (actually just an ancillary belt) is missing under the 48,000 mile for 986. It should be there...[&:]
