Infield Parking for the WEC Event Silverstone 2014

I am pleased to advise that we have been offered reduced price tickets and infield parking for your Porsches at the FIA WEC race meeting at Silverstone over the Easter weekend. This will be the first time out for the new Porsche 919 and one of its drivers will be Mark Webber!

Discounted tickets are only available to purchase using the special URL address http://www.silverstone.co.uk/2014-FIA-WEC-Porsche-Offer/ . The tickets show a reduction of 15% over the normal rate. The discounted ticket prices are shown as:-

Weekend £34 pp, Sunday£29.75 pp, Saturday £17 pp, Friday £10 pp.

Once you have completed your transaction please call Club Office on 01608 652911 or email events@porscheclubgb.com and quote your membership number and reference code from Silverstone, an infield pass will then be dispatched to you.

Got my entry tickets, booked on the assumption of infield parking. Contacted Cornbury House and they say their allocation is fully taken up already....disappointed to say the least!

Always the problem with a limited number of spaces on a "first come" basis. We have no say in it: Silverstone have complete control of ticketing, and the number of infield spaces they "kindly" allocate to Clubs. []

Thanks for that Paul.

Yes we were allocated just 150 infield tickets I'm afraid and it was on a first come basis. Really sorry that some members are disappointed but it is beyond the clubs control.

Shame it was so small, so a real need to move fast.

Really looking forward to this so will look out for the 944s on the Sunday. Not sure which car I am taking. The 944 has been back in dIly use recently so need to check the mileage.

Thanks Ralph...a kind offer but guess what? The Club office sent me an infield pass today (Thanks, Narinder)! They've made my day, really appreciated it.

New tyres tomorrow, good weather forecast for Saturday too....but it will still be a bit brisk up at Silverstone!

Thanks again!

hope infiled does not mean on the grass where we will get stuck in Sunday's forcast rain (time to try out Porssche Assist AA![;)])

me or the surface[:D]?

hopefully so - i wll have my son with me who is 7 and should see the return of Porsche to LMP1 - also wants to know if Patrick is racing his RSR after watching Patrick Dempsey Le Mans series on TV (i've not told him no yet) - so it will be along day for him but good to meet up if possible - perhaps PM me your mobile number?
tony

Patrick Pilet and Jörg Bergmeister are in the Manthey #91; Richard Lietz and Fred Mako in #92.

I don't think Patrick Dempsey is doing the WEC season this year, but he is racing LeMans again with his own team and guesting in Supercup at Hockenheim in July.

Parking is on the gravel near the Snoozboxes next to the Wellington Straight.

Chris.

Yes thanks Chris ,that was my understanding that Dempsey racing would be at Le Mans but not silverstone - presumably with Patrick long who drove so well for them last year
Tony

Is it too early for a little bit of Porsche LMP1 porn?
