Infiltrator....

Sorry guys but I feel I'm infiltrating here but with a good reason.
My partner has an early 944 but my daughter, 34, is looking to buy a Boxster on her return from Australia shortly.
Her budget is £10k, so my request to you is which model/engine size should she look at and can you give me any tips on what to look out for? No doubt Dad will be first port of call if anything goes wrong so I'd like her to start with a good 'un.
Your recommendations sought please

Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul,

She has the choice of 986 2.5 2.7 or 3.2 S plenty about but obviously there are some rogues about, I've heard of a good 2000 3.2S going as low as £8K but try looking for a 2003 maybe 2.7 which has the glass rear window and will be a bit cheaper than the S so may be within the budget and still a nice car to drive.

Not many Boxsters at Official Porsche Centres at that price. But if you find a good one elsewhere (plenty for £10K), they will do a thorough inspection for you. Persoanlly, I would go for the best 2.7 you can get. Glass rear window is a must.

I like the early 2.5 Silver manual with full boxster red leather and hardtop .... real classic looks with that mix .... change from £10k as well ....
