whilst im waiting to get my hands on a user manual,Can anyone let me into the secret of getting the sunroof out [:)]

also what the 4 center consol switches do from passenger side to drivers side.

Thanks

'If it works' You close the sunroof with the ignition on, then turn the key to position 1 and press the close button again (you'll be able to see/hear the catches release at the back) then you simply (but carefully) unclip the front two catches by pulling them down from the back and lift the panel up and back.

If the sunroof goes up and down but won't release the catches on position 1 then its probably an adjustment of the micro-switches that tell the system the roof is closed. You may be able to make it work by pushing and pulling metal hinge at the front a bit but if that doesn't work you'll have to adjust the micro switch which I've never done.

Regards,

Ben

Yep. Tip the plastic wind deflector to an easy angle. Slot roof onto wind deflector and wiggle slightly until it drops into position, then lower back into place, give it a light bang with your fist so you know its seated right and it doesn't strain anything, then push front clips back up and press the window switch in the open direction with the key in position 1.

Note DO NOT try to secure plastic front clips whilst roof is still open, they will snap first!

p.s. it's not a white 84 lux with bbs wheels is it?

its blue, but was white previously by looking in the boot ? not sure what bbs wheels look like.

I got her last week [:)]

Its an early car with 1987> telephone dial wheels, but it looks like it needs spacers (they have a different offset)

yeah would be nice if the wheels were wider,Will think about that once she is ready and passed her ticket.Hopefully not too long. Would the original wheels come out more ??

Ahh it's not my old one, brakes are different but hey you never know. It was worth asking. Yes original wheels filled the Arches much better! Those are at least 1/2 inch too far inside the arches.

thanks,It does look a nice colour from a distance.paint job was poorly done,It was previously white and there is some white bits showing [].I got her last week, been sitting in garage for 3 years and im working my way through it. All the electrics are nearly done. Fluids, filters and braided hoses next. Then Mot,its easier for the mot'er to check all the bushes than me groveling about in my garage [:)]

when i removed rear wheels this afternoon to give the calipers a clean and to check brake lines,I noticed the rear wheels already have 20mm spacers on ??? and the wheels are still sunk in a long way [X(]
