Informal Get Together Leeds Armoury October

Earlier this year some of us had an informal get together at Duxford IWM, on the day we had more than 20 Caymans in their car park and a couple of convertibles. A good time was had by all as we had the usual car chat in the car park and then we went to see whatever we pleased around the hangars of the museum dodging showers wherever possible.

I said on the day that I would try to get another informal day set for September and would look at it being further north to allow members from up country to more easily attend, however it is now a little late to set a date in September and announce it in PP, so for that reason in the main I am suggesting another informal event in October at the Leeds Armoury Museum which houses the overflow from the Tower of London, it is an excellent museum with a large multi story car park next door and while it has a jousting yard I have not seen any jousting events advertised, makes me wonder if Elf & Safety have had more influence.

Currently, it would suit me best if it was to be in the first or last week of the month but other days may be possible, the previous informal was a midweek event but at this time this event could take place at a weekend or midweek.

Hi Kev.

I am good to go. Weekends are fine.

If it is the first week I am available midweek on the Monday(2nd) and the Wed (4th)

The last week, it would have to be Tuesday and Thursday (24th, 26th)

(Still earning a bit of pin money unfortunately) -road tax paid today..ouch

See you on Monday at the Coopers.

Cheers Kev
