Hi, I would like to know if I become a member do you get cheaper car insurance for my 944 S ? I would also like to know a Tracker company that is resonable on the price please.

And does anyone know where I can get a full Black carpet and Door cards for the early square dash version please?

Thanks

Moved for you. :)

Regarding insurance some classic policies will discount for Club membership, so always ask. You also get access to the Club-specific Locktons scheme, but this is a very comprehensive policy and can include a lot that people don't need. Again, worth a quote.

Regarding door cards and carpets, contact the breakers in the FAQs to see what they have, or you can buy new carpet sets and have door cards refurbed if you wish to sell your house to pay for them! :ROFLMAO:

Just out of interest, why for the older interior when you have a 944S?

Thank you Paul for moving and your reply, erm it already has the older interior just in brown and the dash is badly cracked plus I would like a black interior with the linen seats that are already in it.
The car today went to the paint shop for a respray and a little welding and a MOT and it should return to me with 4 weeks.

Quite excited to be honest as this will be my first sports car, classic car and porsche that I've ever had, it will also be my everyday car too!

You get a very good insurance discount from Heritage insurance and, as far as I am concerned, the right cover.
You also get 'Track Day Cover' free.
They used to be the Clubs primary Insurer and sponsor so they know Porsche.

If the car in your photo is the one then it appears to have an aerial in the wing, which makes a square dash more likely. But the wheels look later offset. Go on, tell us what it really is ! By the way, if you want to change the colour of your interior from brown to black, I'd worry about getting a good dash first (unless you go the flocking or carpet route).

Yes your are correct is does have a ariel in the wing and a square dash, although someone else has mention in a different post that it can't be a 944 S if it has a square dash so I have no idea what it is, yes the wheels are from a later boxster I think but as they set the colour of the car off I'm leaving them on it.

I think the colour is champane gold?

I have managed to find a half decent black square dash and its trim so I will be keeping the seats that are in it and changeing the trim and carpter to black, the car is currently at the paint shop for a respray of the same colour.

I have also placed some photos here:

Really, guess one of the previous has stuck that on then!

Well it'll be getting removed for the paint job and not put back on then!

Thanks for informing me on that one as I'm going to try and keep it as orginal as possible.
