Sat 1st April-Open day at AUTO2000/AUTOTEC Bedford, starting 9am-2pm, a chance to use the lifts and view the underside of your 996 along with the option for engine bay, wheel-arch and underside steam-cleaning to near concours condition, removing winter grime and saving alot of hard work for summer preparation.
The location is 24-26 College Street, Kempston, Bedford, MK42 8LU, tel 01234 210012, Charles Marsland (3.2 register RS)owned the garage previously, refreshments are available and normally this is a good fun morning and a chance to meet fellow members, charges only apply to steam-cleaning option of @ £40 cash (3 part) on the day total or less if only engine bay required (@£20)
Sat 22nd April-Castle Combe performance car action day, a new event and teaming up with Region 16 for a PCGB display area with other car clubs and trade stands, some free entry passes and reduced cost track lapping sessions.
Or simply display your 996 and enjoy spectating the day.
On the day restaurant facilities available, family welcomed and arrival from 8am welcomed, this is not a PCGB official track day but moreso a general car club motoring event, on the day costs £10 entry and 330 track lapping sessions, pre-booked £15 sessions (1st come 1st served option).
Helmets must be worn and arms and legs covered, briefing and indemnity forms available on the day prior to entering track, check with your insurer for cover please.A great day similar to classic and sportscar action day but this new event is targeted for modern performance sportscars.
Gary Sorrell, 996 technical support is attending and offering tuition on the track as an aid for beginners with his own reasonable level of track driving experience.

Sat 6th May-PCGB 996 Register London Bavarian theme restaurant night out.
As seen in flyer with previous PPOst, the new ( London's 1st) Bavarian -German themed restaurant group party section has been exclusively booked for us, the location is 190 City Road, Islington, nearest tube is OLD STREET, between Angel and Shoreditch, see website www.bavarian-Beerhouse.co.uk
main courses cost between £9-£14, a great night planned for Porsche enthusiasts.
All PCGB members (all regions/Registers) welcomed, soon the early years Germany/Austria trip for September will be announced incorporating new and old factory of Porsche AG and Porsche design and original test track and motor racing circuit6s of interest.
