INNER DOOR MEMBRANE SEAL

Hi everyone

Popped over to Porsche today to collect the inner membranes for both doors. They are cut to size which is great, makes life easier. Do you need to apply any spray on adhesive? On the back of the mebrane running all round it is a peel off back plastic. I peeled a bit off to see what is underneath and it looks like sealent. Is this okay to go straight on to the door without any other sealent, has anyone ever had to fit the membrane?

Hi

I have fitted two of these.
Just peel off the backing and press on - there is no need for sealant or glue. However ensure mating surfaces are clean and free from grease.

Fitted my membranes yesterday, took me in total an hour for both doors. Very easy to remove door cards and even easier to fit the new membrane. All credit to Porsche design.

In total for both they were about £64, so just over £30 each. There is a thread on here somewhere of how to remove the door cards with side airbag included (it seems very simple and easy).
