inner sills quote

just wondered what people have paid for this previous to me, i've just had a quote to fix the inner sill, for £900

Not sure, sounds about right tbo. Im sure you could get cheaper but will you be happy with the result?

I would rather pay a bit more and get it done right, why dont you get a few more quotes and see what you get...

Is that price including the panels? If it is (and they're genuine ones) then it doesn't sound too bad to me, as it's quite a lot of work to do properly.

I guess the trick is finding someone you trust to carry out the work to a good standard but wont charge the earth for it. It may be too far for you but Daytona Coachworks in Stevenage are very good and know these cars well too.

no no im supplying panels :(

I still wouldn't write it off, but maybe get another quote or two. The most important questions you have to ask is do you have faith in their workmanship and have they done one before? I would be happy paying extra if I was sure I'd get the job done that I wanted and knew it would solve the problem once and for all.

I'm sure the bodyshop that did mine could give you an estimate, but I'm not sure whereabouts in the country you are?

true, ive had another for half that by a guy who is ex porsche body shop and says he does these quite often i'll get a few more and then decide, i dont suppose anyone knows and good places in norwich north norfolk area?

always difficult to find someone who you can trust to do a good job on bodywork, I found one many years ago by chance and will always use him even if I do pay a premium for the work.
If near London try 911 bodyshop but I suspect it will be more than already quoted, I just had my front wing done which involved fabricating a small part below the underseal line, cost was £455 iirc.
3 years ago I had the nearside seal done that cost over £1500, mind you £800 of that was for a new rear wing even though I asked for just the bottom to be cut of said wing and welded to my original as I didn't want the whole panel changed. Mind you what I spend on the car really depends on what work I'm doing at the time, so when the next side needs doing I may well only have it patched up which will be just as good I'm sure.....lol
Anyway the important thing is that once I've had any work needed done by 911 bodyshop I know I won't need to have that part done again....[:)][:)]

I had mine done for £1000 including panels. I posted some pics and everyone commented on the jacking technology employed whilst singing cowboy songs....
I think if you did a search the consensus is £1400 - so you're probably doing ok....
