Install 968CS climate controls in 944? Anyone do this before?

I digested the latest 911&Porsche World last nite (the one with the 968 buyers guide). There was a mention in there that the 968 ClubSport has a cable actuated climate control box verses the crazily complicated vacumn model that most 944/968 cars have.

My question is this: Has anyone here installed the 968CS unit in a 944? My car does not have A/C, so I think this would be a nice option that would get rid of the vacumn lines and make things a bit lighter/cleaner/simpler.

Any thoughts?
