Installing new intake camshaft on 944S

Can anyone help me please.

I'm about to install the camshafts on my 944S, in the workshop manaul it says 'Turn the engine in direction of rotation by approx 45degrees before ignition TDC (Cylinder 1).'

How do I do this? Is it a case of looking for a particular timing mark on the flywheel or is something else. I know how to turn the engine etc etc.
