Instrument Bulbs

I noticed one of the bulbs was out in the clock on my car last night. I pulled the clock out and have found and removed the dud bulb.

Today I visited two large motor factors and in desperation went to Halfords but no avail, I cannot find the correct bulbs anywhere [&:]

The ones in my cars clock are 12v 0.9w and have light green cap screw fittings. The closest match I have found is black capped 12v 1.2w.

I have tried just about everywhere online but there is no mention of 0.9w dash bulbs anywhere [&o]

I don't want to fit one higher wattage bulb as I fear it will be brighter than the others, and at the same time I don't want to have to replace 20 odd dash bulbs to make them all match.

Does anyone know why the correct bulb isn't readily available?

any good??

Thanks David. Interesting as that's another supplier with everything but 0.9w bulbs.

Doesn't matter much now as I have worked it out and I feel a bit of a lemon.

Having just read this P-Car how to http://p-car.com/diy/clockrepair/

I realised there are a lot of unused bulbs installed in the back of the clock.

Light 1 - spoiler
Light 2 - cabrio
Light 3 - airbag
Light 4 - not used
Light 5 - "toothed belt indicator" (fan belt)
Light 6 - side marker light
Light 7 - trailer turn signal
Light 8 - automatic transmission
Light 9 - seat belt
Light 10 - catalyzer
Light 11 - battery
Lights 12, 13 illuminate the clock face.

Turned out the blown one I had pulled was actually occupying the cat warning light hole. I presume this was only blown as someone in the past has played musical bulbs to swap out another functioning light that wasn't working.

It's actually the two yellow capped bulbs that do the clock back light and both were fine. Just a fact that as only two are used for the whole face the part by 11 o'clock isn't as bright.

Oops

I'm guessing it will be a similar story with the CCU lighting? either that or I have a blown LED under the screen button.

No wonder the 0.9w bulbs are hard to come by! Porsche fitted a load of spares in every car [:D]
