Instrument Pod - Speedo backlight gone

Hello

My LCD speedo backlight seems to have given up the ghost! Anybody else had this problem??? OPC have quoted me £1000 for a new Instrument pod but that seems stupid money.

If I tap the pod it sometimes comes back on so I'm guessing it's a loose connection....anybody removed the pod?? Can it be done without OPC help?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's just a £2.50 bulb gone out.

Removing the dashpod is a 5 minute job.
