Insurance deals??

Hi Guys,

My insurance is up for renewal soon, I was wondering if anyone has managed to get any good deals lately?

My model is 997 C2 manual.

Same model as mine. I have used Ann Manning (A Manning, Henley) for many years and her company always offers a good deal with reputable insurers.

Although my Tesco renewal was ok pricewise they would not cover me for my forthcoming Millbrook precision driving day and accordingly I contacted Porsche Cars insurance aka Marsh Private Clients.
Their quotation was £20 less but also included 2 track days - the Millbrook day would count as one with an increase in XS from £ 350 to £850. A second track day eg organised thro the club would be covered with the XS becoming 10% the value of the car!

Nick,

I too would suggest you get a quote from Marsh Private Clients. The price I obtained earlier this year was 10% below the next best quote for my C2S and they offered to include business use at no additional charge. Some other quotes were 50% or more higher. I can't comment on trackday cover with them as I've no plans to do any trackdays.

Performance Marque have always given me very good advice and competitive costs.
They have also listened to me and passed on my comments to the underwriters... for example they did cover me on my training day at Millbrook after I pointed out that the training day would make me hopefully a better driver and less of a risk..[:)] First of all the had said No, but did listen and change to say Yes.
They cover all PCGB track days as per others with a 10% value excess.
I have had to make a claim (not at fault) and again dealt with it really well and listened to me with reference to my chosen repairer..
I will again look around for costs as is sensible but if close will stick with them.

Nick, they also for the first year give you PCGB membership [;)]

Thanks for all the comments, I will let you know how I get on, renewal date is not far away now.

Has anyone had a quote from porsche Insurance?

Nick

Nick,

Porsche Insurance is operated by Marsh Private Clients. I got a very well priced quote from them (see above post) and have insured with them. Worth a try!

Nick,

I have now moved my insurance to Porsche (Marsh Private). I found them very competitive, and I'm covered for 2 track days a year. They also don't charge extra for official Porsche power upgrades such as X51.

Good luck, John

hi im 25 my insurance is 2,300 for 997 turbo 07 model its with sun alliance they were realy competitive i went through a broker called mce which i found in the back of the top marques magazine

Hi Guys,

Well I renewed my insurance for my 997 C2, and I was very pleased.

£550 with £500 XS which is good by most standards, but in addition I took a XS buy back for £67, if I make a claim my XS will be £0

This is a Class 1 policy (i.e. Business Mileage inc) for up to 10,000 miles.

The Broker is Performance Insurance

Nick
