Insurance for 2 cars

Decided to retire my beloved daily drive to a (semi) weekend car before the mileage gets too hefty. Just clocked up 85K. So I can slow down the arrival of the dreaded 100K if I stop the business miles now. Bit surprised my insurance company planned to treat me as new driver with no 'no claims' for the second car despite years of faultless driving with performance cars. Surely someone out there applies some common sense and will insure 2 cars on one policy?? Plan to have limited mileage on the Porsche. Any recommendations? I just plan a cheap family motor for the second car, an old Omega or similar.

Regards
Neil

A. Manning Ltd in Henley (page 52 of the December PP) will duplicate your no claims bonus on second and subsequent cars as well as being extremely competitive. I did the same as you earlier this year and have the 911 on unlimited mileage with no restrictions for £1100 (£200 less than the nearest competitor) and the Polo 16v for £200!!! Not bad considering I'm a 32 year old lunatic. [:D]
