Insurance for a modified car - any ideas?

Any of you folks know of an insurance company / broker that deals with modified 993 cars?

The changes will be resonably extensive so are not the sort of thing I could sneak past any standard insurance company. Also I want the mods listed and insured so if it does get damaged I get the value back.

Thanks in advance

Ian.

I know somebody on the 968 forum went through this process and the main area for not getting a quote was the installation of a roll cage. It would appear that insurers were not prepared to touch it.

I am sure that he did eventually find somebody to insure him so will check over there and come back.

Ian,

He eventually got it insured through Adrian Flux, if that is any help.

Just realised that I posted to your reply under general.

dont know if i'm a bit too slow to help? - liverpool and victoria used to have a policy of any mod except engine capacity increase for no extra charge! and providing you listed them the mods were insured. dont know if this is still the case - i know you had to ring them up opposed to the web service

It may be of interest that Liverpool & Victoria DO NOT now cover track day usage. According to them, this is now a specific exclusion.
