Insurance for my Boxster S

Hi Everyone,
I finally bought my dream car last Friday Boxster S 2003 31,000 miles Black, Black leather, Chrome pack 18" Alloys, said goodbye to my loyal Disco ES Premium (I've never give it a second thought) anyway for easyness of collection I paid the extra on my current insurance to drive it away. Could you people point me in the right direction of any specialist insurance dealers as my policy is due at the end of the month i'm currently with privilege 8yrs protected no claims no convitions 100% clean Best Regards Black Box[:)]

Surprised Privelege wont cover or are not competative. I am with Direct Line for my "S".Onstreet no garage. were cheaper than both Mannings and AON PCGB schemes albeit no track day cover at all

Hi Paul,
Congratulations on your purchase. And a perfect choice of exterior and interior colour, like mine...

I would suggest becoming a PCGB member as a number of insurance companies give club members a discount and there are a lot of other benefits too. I have the exact same car and same year as you and I am with Adrian Flux (specialist) who give up to 15% discount to club members... One of the things I have found with specialist is their quotes are not that great for someone new to performance cars (they ask how long you have had the car and what you drove before) but after a year of ownership things get better...

I too carried on with my insurance when I bought my Boxster S as otherwise I would have lost some 9 months of NCB...

If you go for non-specialist then I would recommend you include a female on the policy (wife, partner, girlfriend, etc) as they seem to give better quotes, she doesn't have to drive the car [;)]

2000 2.7 Boxster I was with Norwich Union direct for two years at £670. I just renewed with AXA via Mayfair insurance brokers (in PCGB) for £448 fully comp. Beware though if you want trackday insurance its advisable to get it all included rather than pay for the day. Can be as much as £200.

Thanks Folks,

I think Adrian Flux will be getting a call very shortly & I will be a fully paid member of PCGB by next week.

P.S
I can't walk away from my Boxster without turning around and thinking,[:)] is that car really mine how good is that?[;)] LIVING THE DREAM?

Beat Regards

True, no track days.

£440 per year, 34 yr old with 3pts and £250 excess. Legal cover and UK full breakdown. No mileage restriction.

So, cannot complain.

If you are thinking of doing track days, contact Performance Marque as cover is included. They also give Porsche Club membership.

I also have a boxster S and last year had a quote with a specialist broker who insured the car with NU and gave free Porsche Club Memebership. Now mine is due for renewal I can not find the paperwork. It is not Performance Marque. Does anyone know who this might have been??
