Insurance Hike

Jonas is recommending a strut brace on my SC - in part to improve the handling but also to solve what he described as "age related sag". I assumed he was referring to the car :ROFLMAO:

Given that this is arguably an upgrade - anyone know how much this might cost me on the insurance. I'm currently with L&V and wonder if they'll use this as an opportunity to decline cover / take a big bite - as it seems they're less interested in the Porsche insurance than previously

I know Jonas and I'm sure he wouldn't recommend something if it wasn't worthwhile having, however I assume he is talking about a front strut brace and not the one strapped to the inside next to the b-posts. Just how loose is your car I have never heard of putting a strut brace on the car to cure an 'age related sagging problem', get some more info and report back with this, it's sounds either interesting or bizarre.
I doubt your insurance will change at all because of a strut brace on a + 20 year old SC but tell them. I'm with AON who are now sponsoring the club try their Classic car policy, it's very comprehensive and very cheap.
