Hi Guys

Am. Just off to test drive a 2020 MY Cayenne S Coupe. I live in Richmond, the mean streets and the insurance is coming out at circa 3,5k per annum. Looking at what the av cost is this looks almost 3 times as much. Any thoughts on how to make this more in line with the average. Cheers in advance.

Hi Paul, I hope you thoroughly enjoyed your test drive. Unfortunately, insurance isn’t an exact science. There are too many variables to factor in, however as a Club member you could try Club partner Lockton Insurance. Failing that, it may be worth trying all the usual comparison sites. Sorry I can’t be of any more help.

Hi

I got my Boxster GTS 4.0 12 months ago and was horrified at the quotes. Locktons were £3K plus and they told me they were uncompetitive unless you need track day cover. I tried a comparison site and they cam up with cover with Admiral. I have just renewed the Boxster on a dual car policy that includes an Audi S3 for £1700 (the Boxster premium was £1100).

You can get a quote from them online.

Chris

I have my Cayenne and 996s all with Admiral on a multi-car policy and it is by far the most competitive I have been able to get for the last few years. Even my broker for my 356 said there was no way they could find anyone else to beat it when I shared the quote and car details with them. HTH

Have you tried Direct Line. I’m currently paying £500 for 59plate Cayenne although I’ve heard quite a bit about insurance costs going up quite a lot this year so not looking forward to the renewal fiasco. They’re not on comparison sites either so you’ll need to enter details individually.
