Insurance question

Have you tried one of the online sites such as MoneySuperMarket or CompareTheMarket just to see what's on offer for comparison? Just make sure that they're offering like-for-like compared with your current insurer.
If you like using the car for track days, you could try Manning UK or Porsche's own insurance.
There's plenty of choice out there if you're prepared to look around.
Good luck..!
Jeff
Edit: Just to say that if it's an older car [3.2 Carrera?], some members have found the Club's "own" insurer, Lockton, to be quite competitive.
About £200 as I remeber for 911SC targa '81 garaged 5k miles p.a. limit, including breakdown
Mike, I use Classicline Insurance at Hinckley (01455 639000).
Always seem to be good for Classic Cars and the option of limited mileage use as well.

Recommendations here range from Direct Line and the horrid "compare" sites, who'll write your car off at book value in the event of a claim, to Classicline, who have restricted policies that cater for second cars, limited mileage etc.
More info needed, but Locktons and Classicline would be my choice for limited-use policies. If you are happy to take a buy it cheap, accept book-value in the event of a claim, policy, then go for that as it'll always be cheaper.

I've just renewed (5th year) & although I seem to be penalised by postcode, SG (Stevenage) when in fact I'm 20 miles North of it, they have agreed to an increase in my agreed valuation after submitting the Clubs Valuation Form.
Excess £250, UK & European Breakdown cover included + Homestart

Just had a quote from classic line as I called them this morning for £209 with all the trimmings that's £160 pound cheaper than Hagerty
Happy days
Just waiting for the quote to come through the door
Many thanks guys for your help and Happy Xmas to you all
You'll be very pleased to know that's around £200 cheaper than mine....... as I said Postcode Lottery [&:]
I guess that's Merry Christmas then!
Glad recommendations helped.... the forum at it's best [
I phoned then to ensure the quote was good. In the end I sorted the Porsche, my wife's Fiesta and the equivalent of "AA Gold cover" (mainly for the Fiesta and my wife's comfort)
for around £560 - I think. A saving of over £300 - I'm old - 65 then - but I WAS going to be happy with the £800 for the turbo alone.
Obviously you need to check, but I'm more than happy.
