Insurance question

Hi Chaps,

I have not posted in a while, but I'm very curious about what insurance I need (or should) take for this year on my lovely Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Coupe of 1988

I've shopped around for a bit on gocompare and Tesco comes out for me about half of what i'm being quoted from Bridle. I'm told the problem with tesco is that I won't be able to get the car fixed properly (as in a Porsche specialist) if something was to go wrong. I was wondering if this was actually true or not, or if it's pretty much all the same thing and I should just go with the cheapest.
I don't rely on this car, it's merely a little toy I bought for going for a spin on the weekend so drawbacks like being left without car for weeks is not so much of a concern for me. I've looked at agreed valuation but unfortunately my circumstances do not qualify me to get this. Not quite sure what to do so any recommendations would be really appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom I have been useing R.H. insurance specialis for some time now give them a ring 01277 206911. Charles

I was in the same position as yourself, I have a 1987 911 3.2 Carrera, that is used as an occasional car. I got insurance through Sureterm Direct thhey have a product called EIG Classic, www.sureterm.com, cost was £189. i did not go for many of the options as I have them covered separately, like breakdown, replacement car etc. Colin

Hello Tom, I'm also with Heritage and agree with Chris. They seem good but have not had reason to test this. It looks like Colin is getting a good deal. Steve

I have been with RH and Classic Line over the years, been happy with both. Am now with Hegarty who I am very happy with. What's more they are super competitive and the person on the phone knows what I am talking about.

Hi Tom I have just insured my 3.2 with Direct Line for £161 only down side £75 excess for windsreen replacment and £10 for repair. Paul
