Insurance Renewal Time Again

Yes it's that time of year again. Got a big shock when I opened the renewal offer from Adrian Flux this am, it had gone up over £100 to £354.55 for a 3,000 miles policy. So back on the telephone again. Carol Nash offered little better although they did come in slightly cheaper at £293, same mileage. Then tried Heritage Insurance. They quoted £193.10 for 3,000 including European recovery, legal aid, free glass, inclusive of tax and agreed value. They offered £256.10 on a 5,000 mile policy. Both of these were increased marginally for LHD (£224.60 and £303.35 respectively).

No prizes for guessing who I am now with. Cheers

Hello everyone,

I'm new here and this is my first post.

I got a pretty stunning deal on insurance, details below. They quoted me £143.80 on my '81 SC Targa. Having never insured a Porsche before, I was prepared for something more than that, so my first instinct was to ask was that per month or per year.... I think the breakdown cover is nearly worth that on its own!

It was the Specialist Car Division of Equity Red Star 01277 206911

Chris Hevey

Hi Dave,

Thanks for that. This is a new and exciting world for me - looking forward to it a lot.

I used to be quite a regular at the Vaults bar in Stoney, well actually The Vaults, Bull, George, Plough, Crown, F&H, anywhere that would serve me really, until my brother in law moved out of Old Stratford. Occasionally seen there lunchtimes though as my office is in Kiln Farm

Hi Chris

Small world, my insurance is due on my 993 (got it down to £270.00, from renewall of £430.00)

Our office is in Kiln Farm as well!

Cheers

John

Hi John,

Small world indeed. Keep an eye out for a slightly scruffy red SC Targa parked outside unit 2 (Anite) My wife works there too and brings it in when she wants to upstage salesmen in their shiny new high end Mercs & Beemers. Lovely cars, but somehow they just haven't got the same... What's the word?

Oh no - not Anite as in Project Management? I used to employ some Anite people before I retired from the FCO.... SPOOOOKY...

Dave

Yes that Anite, but I'm in a different bit. FCO!!!!! Tiny world. I know a couple of folks that work there. Best switch this thread to highly encrypted email...

Chris.
