Wow, you must either be old or live in the middle of no where. That is mighty cheap, I thought £325 with same people for myslef and wife, 35, garaged, cat 1 and 5K miles. Mind you we do have a slightly iffy post code.

SC's are cheaper than 3.2's for some reason best known to the insurance companies.
RH quote around £320 for a 3.2 and only £180 for an SC.....strange, but true.

Just a thought -
My 84 Carrera (like my other vehicles) has always been insured through AON (previously Bain Clarkson). The premium dropped substantially at its November 84 renewal and all mileage restrictions disappeared.
At the last renewal (November 2005) I paid £217.50.
Once a vehicle is 20 years old or more the premiums drop!
You might like to see if your 86 car qualifies ..........
With my cars though the car must be garaged.
No problem with me adding 100bhp to my turbo, extra 25% premium.
As long as you don't have a rollcage & you garage the car they will quote and it should be reasonable.
Nathan, a happy AON customer.

Us considerate SC drivers must just be a lower risk than you hot-rodding youngsters [8D]
That £157 was exactly half what I had paid with Carole Nash the previous year.
I'm 37 and live between Northants and Banbury so not exactly the sticks. I did find that most of my premiums halved last year, same year as my hair finally gave up trying to look like any colour other than grey; should have done it years ago (lol)

I've got three moderns (including my C7S - Ok Mark B?) and five agreed value classics on for £1650 p.a. with Footman James. Try them on 0121 561 4196 if you've more than one car.
Do they all have to be garaged ?
Any of them modified ?
TIA
