Insurance Suggestions Please

All,
In concert with my earlier post looking for insurance;

I am over 40 (I know it's hard to believe ;-)
Clean licence
less than 5k miles per annum
Would like built in track cover

Same as most of us I guess.....any suggestions?

HAGERTY based at Silverstone Innovation Centre. Google them. Very good rates, underwritten by Allianz. They know RSs and several of us use them. They do a 5k classic policy with agreed valuation and track cover. Mine costs around £350, 38yrs old, no claims, no accidents or points, kept overnight in garage in Glos.

See my other post, AON is now Footman James and the claim limit is £25k with a 30% excess so true vlaue of insurance is now only £17.5k!

Looks like £500 with Hagerty on the basis of agreed £55k valuation + £55 per track day.

I also went with Hagerty this time due to the recommendations from you lot - £360 and £36 per trackday. Mind you, the agreed value for my C2 is only £14,000 [][]

Try Richard Eggar or Competition Car Insurance bud.
CCI charged me £630 inc 4x trackdays/ £45k cover etc. I'm 34 with 4 points on the old licence. My caveat is a criminal charge from 2001 (when I used to be a bad lad!) but that is another story!

Also consider A Manning ( http://www.manninguk.com/automotive/porsche.php ) - I pay £540 including trackday cover (10% excess) for any no. of trackdays, £50K value, 5K mileage limit, 2nd car, garaged, 46 year old.

I followed up on this, we are all treated the same by hagerty - at 10% of the vehicle premium + tax per track day......however if you are lucky to hae more than once vehicel then the individual vehicle premium is discounted and therefore the cost/trackday comes down.

I think that Hagerty are good but not the cheapest if you do a lot of track days AND only have one vehicle with them e.g my RS is agreed £55k value, premium £412, therefore track days are addtl £43 including tax,
