Thanks in advance Paul [:)]

Hi Paul,

I think that you need to contact Sean Smallman the TIPEC Club Chairman. I seem to remember that he can sort this out for you.

Check with your insurance company that it's prepared to accept it though. The PCGB ones are done by an insurance industry approved chap.

I can do 944 valuations as 944 Register Secretary, and help with insurance claims, but not all insurers consider that a valid qualification. They have a tendancy to wriggle out in the event of a claim if they can find the slightest reason. [&o]

I have never needed any paperwork for the agreed value on my 968. My insurers just ask me to send recent photos and nothing else.

R&J Classic need me to have a valuation on letter headed paper from either a Specialist, i.e. Tom Ferguson, which would be my local guy, but although I've had no work done by Tom yet, they can't have had any mechanical or financial interest in the car at all, alternatively it can be a valuation from a club ?

If anyone can do this for me, what info do i need to provide & where can i email/post it to ?

Thanks again Paul [:D]

Club one you download the member's form from the website here

All companies are different, Classicline are happy with a self-valuation and pictures (although whether that would be open to challenge in the event of a claim I don't know) for instance. Check exactly what they require, preferably in writing. Paranoid, I know, but I've dealt with a LOT of insurance claims as Reg Sec and it's never easy without that guaranteed valuation. You do have to be reasonable about valuations as well, saying it's worth double the real value would get a claim thrown out anyway.
