(a) The Porsche "specialists" always give you a quote thats 60% dearer than your best quote?

(b) Esure will ensure my Boxster parked on a driveway but not in a carport?

(c) As all these web based quote systems are based I.T. it's so difficult to convince them that you and your company actually work in I.T.

Get all three answers correct and I'll send you all my Optimax card "swaps".

a) they wanted over £2000 for insuring the cayenne, we got it for under £500 elsewhere.[:)]

b)you what? that doesn't make sense. Maybe they are worried the carport will fall down on your car.

c) N/A

insurance has some very strange rules and regulations.

how come 2 diffrent 42 year old men living in the same street, do the same sort of job, and both have clean driving licences and full NCD. can get very diffrent quotes for the same car. from the same insurer?

liverpool insurance direct will cover your car in the drive day or night and they are the only company that did not load me for penalty points they were only concerned that i have a claim free period of 5years which is all that should count my premium for a 1999 boxster is a reasonable £370 i am 56 years old and it also covers my husband to drive[:)]

No idea what influences insurance but I can tell you that I got quoted £400.00 cheaper than Steve.

It would seem that men are more of a 'liability' as far as insurers are concerned. Now ladies, we didn't know that did we??? [:D][:D][:D]

(sorry [;)] )

.. judging by a recent report I think it due to the fact that only 1% of female motorist drive over 10mph !!!

Only joking - that should get some people going !

Saying that, my girlfriend is insured with a Women Only insurer and with me on the policy it was £50 cheaper !!!

It makes no sense .

I hate to say it but I got stuck behind a rather stupid woman yesterday! Why oh why do they do 55 mph in the overtaking lane of a dual carriageway when there's nothing to the left of them to overtake!!!!! I think that's another rant though!

[]

And the likes of MoreThan seem to advocate dogs driving people carriers, yet they refuse any vehicle above a group 17 insurance. I know which one I think is the most risky. "Give me those keys lucky!"

Hi Helen It's called capataliism - a free market in other words - If all the quotes were within a fiver of each other we would think (quite rightly) that the companies were colluding to fix the market. The business I am in only has 4 suppliers and you would be amazed at how suspiciously close their prices are
