i wouldnt let it put me off buying a write off as long as its reflected in the price.
Exactly - a good repair, documented and photographed, to light damage could actually improve a car but would mean a substantial reduction in the price you pay. And, of course, sell it again for.
With stolen/recovered you might have no accident damage but possibly non-matching keys, or a really thrashed car. Hence, as always, it's got to be a significant discount but not to be ignored.

I had an Accident a Few weeks ago...which cause front wing damage (see other Post..and still looking for a good wing!).....The insurance were quite happy to write it off..
Obviously, only the wing was damage...a few hundred to repair (if one can do it) but with new parts and labour it amounts more than the car Value!..
