Hi All
So just bought one of them 911 Turbos (1988) and what a beaut she is!
Probably should have checked insurance first, and now that I am I'm finding a huge range - from won't insure without a garage (I don't have one) to £4,000 from RH Brentwood, right down to £450 from Priviliege (but not sure I have given them the right details) because Adrian Flux gave me a quote of £897 with £350 excess.
I've tried Heritage and one other that I can't remember, but do you lovely people have any other ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Ben

Thanks Alex - just checked and I need a garage ...
A lot of them are (quite rightly) insisting on a garage, which is a damn shame

Just got a quote from classic line insurance for £360.
Im 32 with 3 points on my licence.

I was with the AA for 3 years, and they managed year on year to bring my insurance down from £1100 to around £600 last year.
This year I got the shock of my life, the AA quoted me last month £1800 to renew it.[]

When I got the car I was 26, and even then I did not pay that much.

Classic line have also given a guarenteed value for the car, rather than book price, if the worse happened.

Classic Line insured myself (over 50 yrs), limited 3000miles for £225... no special conditions of garage...

Hagerty did it for me - Saved me 50% on my previous premium from AON. 08700 420 220 - My policy includes a garage but not sure if it was essential.

You need to get a classic policy ideally to keep the price down.

May sound stupid but I did the 944 turbo on line with confused .com and ended up with Sainsbury's !!! at £290 fully comp £350 excess full no claims on drive way(which makes adifference to on road.

The 993TT was A Manning Henley on Thames on classic and was around £460 for 5000 miles but in garage

Lancaster have been cheapest for me for 4 years with same car-£245
Now got 997 turbo s and use Swinton-£350
