Just had a few quotes, as due this month. all seem in the £700 region for 5000 miles limited. tried A Manning was very encouraging (as includes pcgb track days) apart from one strange, but semi sensible thing. Want to put girlfriend on car for those times when one wants to drink or for long drives etc. But can't because she has'nt had 5000miles driving experience in a car with similar power in the last two years. Bit chicken and egg is'nt it???????

I also use Classic line.
They are really competitive. Just about to renew with the,.
As you say track cover at no extra cost and they write to you confirming cover for specific events.

Speak to Darren Coote at Classic Line on 01455 639000, he is best guy to talk to re track cover etc. Not sure what the policy is called but ask him for what I have (Feroz Hoda). Cover is 5k pa, agreed value and good premiums - mine was over £300 better than the next best quote.
Re track cover, they will cover PCGB days free of charge and will cover other "approved" organisers for a fee (I paid £50 per day last year). Approved organisers are currently limited to RMA and Heritage but I have been speaking to Darren and have asked him to check Goldtrack and Fastrak for me. Their main concern is that they must be well organised days with high value cars so drivers are careful (not always true but ....). He said if I want cover for other organisers send him a web link and he will take a look. I am going to contact Melindi @ Goldtrack and Sean @ Fastrack to see if they will drop him a letter. They will not cover book a track or easy track due to previous feedback. Service so far has been very good.
The other place I would recommend is called Autotorque on 0161 2785226. Speak to Chris if you can (or John if he is not around) re track cover. Again, can't remember the policy I had with them but 5k pa limit. They will cover all track days for a £32 fee.
Happy hunting.

Try RSA thru AON, Classic Marques Policy (over ten years old). Limited mileage, track day cover for .1% value of car per day, any organiser. Car must be second at least and garaged.
About five hundred quid, but..........I've been a client of their's for years and believe others quoted about £12-1300 for same details.

Try Asset Trust 01285 841555 - advert in PP.
They charged me £500 (including taking it to work for an extra £25) for 5000 miles which was pretty good I thought. Although being 50 and living in Devon helped I'm sure.
I've bought the silver RS Touring from Paul at GT classics btw.
Great fun. I'm a very lucky chap really as I was stopped on the North Devon link road after junction 27 on the M5 on the way home after being clocked at 95 mph. Very nice young policeman let me off. ( When I saw the blue lights I thought "I've only had it two hours .."), just as well he didn't see that it wasn't taxed as I dozily forgot to take my insurance certificate with me to Andover for Paul to tax it.

In the course of conversation he did say that the car was more than capable of handling the speed and asked if I had done any advanced driver training. I told him about having raced for ten years or so latterly in a 911 GT3. He said then that I sounded capable of handling the speed as well , but other drivers weren't and I should remember that the speed limit was 70 mph. He concluded by saying that my best weapon was the rear view mirror.
I was convinced that I was going to get a ticket ... especially when he said at 96mph he wouldn't have had any discretion and it would have gone to court
Like I said, really lucky

Just thought i'd say thank you to Yoda and Lee and the others who replied. To bring you up to date I have gone with Classic Line who quoted £485 with track day cover and my g/f and 5000 mile limit, excellent. A full £200+ saving on all other quotes[]
