It's that time of year again, so thought I would share the 10+ calls I've made. Renewal with Performance Marque was rather silly (£1,200), so phoned around the specialists plus Liverpool Victoria and other suggestions from this forum. All were coming in at £800 - £850. Performance Marque did almost match this, but then informed me that they do not cover track days any more - £115 extra.
I tried a few online quotes and was plesantly surprised. Admiral and Privilege are both around £700. The risk here is non-Porsche approved repairer (if the worst happens), but they are reasonably relaxed who I would use, so long as the the quote was not stratospheric.
The upside here is that if I put my mum or my sister on the insurance (can't put the wife - no manual licence) the quote comes down to £600. Looks like I will be confirming with them over the next few days!
