Hi Bob , just had my renewal through from Porsche insurance (marsh ) £450 , phoned and ask if that's the best you can do ......knocked off £40 without any hesitation . Well happy ......Russ ..

I tried manning good quote considering it was "unlimited" track use, but the excess was £1,500.00 on any track claim.
Just tried someone called Asset Trust the broker of choice at Tpiec without track day cover and it was £387.00, and all the underwriters are well known big names , I've got 12 days before renewal so at present it Asset Trust or I might put my hand in my pocket and go for the added track cover ?
Just filled in a quote request to Lockton, so we will see how it comes back, thanks for that.

I think you'll find that for any insurer the excess for track use will be 10% of the car's value, so £1,500 is probably about right for your 987.
Also, with ManningUK if I was prepared to reduce my annual mileage from 5,000 to 3,000 I could have saved myself £100.

Yes, now you mention it, he did say that TD Excess is 10% of the value of the car.
Had the usual phone calls from brokers who had given me a quote previously checking to see if I'll be going with them, and when I tell them that I have had a lower quote it's amazing how they want to see if the can match and that they will get back to me.

I have just used Locktons and saved £70 on renewals and the service was excellent. It is backed by Chubb who have an excellent reputation. Best of all the club benefits.
