Insurance

My insurance is due for renewal on my 89 3.2 Carrera. I'm with Mannuk UK and have been for some years, they have always been pretty good and I have had no complaints with the premium or the cover other than the onloy way to make it good pricewise is to have quite a large excess.

I limit the annual mileage to 3000.

I wonder if anyone has anysuggestions for good limited mileage policies as I think I will shop around a bit more this year.

Many thanks

Give Peart a call on 0800 988 0464. Like you I've used Manning and they and Peart use Allianz and Sun Alliance for their specialist Porsche cover respectively. It's worth checking each year as there can be several hundred pounds difference for similar cover.

Lee Give Adrian Flux a ring have been with them for a long time now, Each year I always do the rounds phone and net search to find the cheapest deals and they will always match them on price, I am paying less now then I did 10 year ago same cover 5000 miles limit, agreed value £16000, 2 drivers , £300 excess It cost me £260

Plenty of option for insurance in the Porsche Post - Try Lancaster on a agreed valuation. They been on the ball for me. Since I had a problem with my BMW Insurance (I only wanted to change from Coupe to Convertible with Norwich Union but the person in Tim Buk 2 insisted that the Convertible had five doors and that one of them was a sliding door) Now that may seem funny now[:D] but just imagine if It had been more serious, ie accident etc. [X(] So I now refuse to deal or take out insurance with anyone who has a call centre outside the UK[;)]

Try Heritage. They are main Club sponsors and give 15% discount to members. They also give free trackday cover for Club Trackdays and road rallies. You will find a full page ad in Porsche Post.

ORIGINAL: 911c996tt +1 for Heritage Just got my renewal through for my 85 Carrera, £152.
Nice can't wait until my recent claims history has faded into the past and I can start getting better quotes, £600/year for me.

And the winner is........... cue drum role...... Aldo, and his recommendation of Hargety Insurance Brokers, under writtien by Allianz. My renewal from Manning UK was £503. Hagerty Insurance was £284, same 3000 mile limit but included in the premium was full UK and European break down cover. If I didn't want the European breakdown cover (which I do) it was £259. Agreed Value. Next best quote was £411. Thank you all for your recommendations.
