All,

While Simon was at the Chivenor motorsports day recently he found out about the Braunton Wheels Event being held on Sunday 25th July, the only details I have so far are from the flyers and what has been in the local press:
THE Braunton Wheels event will be making a comeback this summer after a five-year absence from the village.

Local charity Calvert Trust Exmoor is sponsoring the event at the Braunton Recreation Ground on Sunday, July 25. The Wheels extravaganza ran successfully for 10 years up until 2005 and visitors to past Wheels will remember that all modes of transport were on display at the show - ancient bicycles and double decker buses, motor bikes and vintage cars, steam engines, tractors and much more - anything with wheels is welcome!

It is expected to be a great family fun day and in addition to the wheeled exhibits there will be amusements, trade stands, charity stalls and refreshments.
I am waiting to hear back from the organiser to find out more about the event and whether we can display some cars, but it would be useful to know whether there is any interest before I speak to her...could you post here if you are interested, there is no commitment at this stage.

PS Braunton is North Devon.

I have just spoken to the organiser she is more than happy to set aside some space for us (for both classic and modern pork [;)]). She is going to send me an electronic copy of the exhibitor form so that I can email them out to anyone interested.

The event is due to run 10:00-16:30 and she has asked if we could have people in by 09:30. I have confirmed that we will like all the cars together, which also means I will need to coordinate submission of the entry forms to ensure it happens.

I don't think we have anything else 'booked' so I hope to be going (will confirm later when I have heard back from the boss [:)]).

Life is for living Alex, seems like a good day,Braunton that is
Are we having your presence on sunday
Paul[:D]

OK for anyone interested in this I now have the 'entry form'.

Alan - I have sent you a copy of the form.

Paul - I agree.

Just resurrecting this thread to see if we can get a few more to come along - only two of us so far![:(]
