Got to get me one of those!
I read through it this morning. That is pretty much what I would like, albeit it's a bit higher Dollar than mine in some areas.
I've yet to hear of a RHD LS1 engined 944 and the LHD kits available don't fit RHD, so I am investigating options. I am doing so actively and have some interesting discussions going on with various people.

I had the sound off here too. But it certianly didn't look like the best example of driving to me, and you've gotta love the way he appears to lock the rear brakes up at a junction.[8|]

Good on ya Fen [8D] it would be great for someone in our little community to try out one of thos engines.
Guys you have to watch that video with the sound on [:-] (I must admit if it were me I would have shot some footage of the car coming up a hillside road from about half a mile away [8|])

You think I should get them to convert my Turbo to LHD for me?
It looks like the missing piece of the jigsaw currently is someone (affordable) to do some aluminium fabrication work - not necessarily difficult to find, but I haven't got anyone I "use" currently for that sort of thing.

Hi Patrick. I have a half composed email to you from weeks ago in my drafts which I will get around to finishing sometime... []
Basically I don't have a Porsche engine any more. It went "bang" 3 or so weeks ago the evening before the dyno day. This thread has the rest of the details: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=206239

So Fen , do you think it was merely a weakened or aged part that simply let go which eventuated in the whole engine disintegrating? Is there a moral to this story or was it bad luck? Is there something you would do differently in hindsight? Or in hindsight what would you do when modifiying a 944 turbo? This in fact well deserves it's own post. What we do is cyclical in that we learn from people like you who have 'been there, done that' just as you have done in the past. It would be really beneficial for the newbies to avoid the many pitfalls that abound when modifiying our cars. I have already experienced the one step forward two steps back scenario and would like to cut to the chase if possible.
Any advice would be most appreciated and a good read also.
Patrick
