The point of this post is as a public service to fellow PCGB members, it isn't an advert! I hope you agree, moderators. I have no financial interest in this car at all.

My mechanic has a friend with an unusal 964 RS for sale. It is RHD with only 3,000 miles on it. It is Maritime blue....lovely.

I am told it is a British car, so it will have power steering. It went to Hong Kong when it was new-ish and it was recently re-imported by this bloke my mechanic knows. It has a cage of some sort, I should think a bolt-in one but I don't know for sure.

Surely this car is very collectable? It must have just about the lowest recordrd mileage of any 964 RS. Maybe Paul from GT Classics could comment?

If you fancy it, phone Tom Ferguson in Newcastle on 0191 2260855. I take no responsiblity if this car turns out to be rubbish!!

Yes Johnny that certainly sounds like a rare find. That is certainly the lowest mileage I've heard of on a RHD example, but not the lowest, though at this sort of mileage who's counting. I was offered a LHD Guards Red 964 RS with delivery miles and found a Polar Silver car in Italy with only 2000km's.

These as new cars are great for collectors and museum's, but can be problematic for an enthusiast who wants to use it. Depending on how these cars are prepared for storage and subsequently stored they're likely to need money spending on them before you could really use it. It's possible that O'rings and other seals have totally dried out and perished, etc.

I'd love to put one like this away myself, but have far more pressing issues like taking them to the track. [:D]
