Well a few months now, new clutch, running great. Few little niggles with switchgear and lights decided only once not open fully, but I posted the technical solution here.

Nicely balanced car, with brisk performance, very directional. Handles lovely, ride nicely firm and very slick gearbox and effortless engine. Great touring car for two people with all that luggage space. A sensible Porsche they could build today and NOT be out of place. Good looking car from every angle. Those seats, probably the most comfortable and the first where they support my head in ANY car!

The power is enough for Doris and I, but a Turbo would be an interesting drive, but that would defeat the reason why we bought a 2.7 Lux ..... No Worries ....[:)]

Well done

It's always nice to see new life being put into a classic car, doesn't really matter what make or model it is, it's just good to see it.
As you've discovered the 944 is a great handling car and is best at the twisty bits, I've done a few porsche weekends and I remember being in the lake disrict in convoy with a few lux's, they certainly can hold their own against the turbo on the country lanes...
You say " no worries" over getting a turbo???... hmmm i wonder how long that will last...hehe
